I am finally starting to build a website and post artwork -- panda khan covers, miscellanous scifi/fantasy/Tick art I enjoyed, the Paul the Samurai Monica and I
worked together on,
the zombie voodoo cowboy western comic I've been working on for the past four years which combines folklore my Mexican mother swears really happened to her great-grandparents (Native Americans and Spaniards in Texas)-- I gotta get the stories quick because Mom has developed Alzheimer's. She's 87. My father died of complications of Alzheimer in 1991 at age 71. We never dreamt Mom would get it, too. I saw something similar at Dark Horse this summer at SDCCI.
I am also going to post some of the graphics I 've done for hardcore bikers and Off-road racers, Pro-rodeo, and the local culture: chupacabras and fair-goers with their children "mutton-bustin', yeeha" and little rabbits, bantam roosters, farmer mascotsm and flying monkeys.
Then there's the local newspapers' editorial cartoons I do to entertain myself and to tick off both the local conservatives and the liberals. Umemployment locally is 30%. I'm not to comment on national politics.
**For example, right now, we have out of town developers who want to build a resort next to the NAF [Naval Air Facility] with "lakes and navigable waterways." But the developers left out of their proposal that the NAF base they were talking about was actually the NAVAL AIR FACILITY BOMBING RANGE. The lakes they were apparently talking about are the puddles left after the bombs hit.
maybe I'll post some of son PK's early stuff. He doesn't draw as much now, but he has a definite artistic talent. He is a very talented actor as well.
He writes and LARPS more, and is onsite at anthropological job sites throughout the state: military and tribal for the most part.
He's making plans to go back to graduate school to learn mapping software for archeology
and anthropology. Not bad for a high-functioning autistic, dyslexic, auditory perception disorder with time delay
